This summer camp has had the best communication of any we've experienced. I really appreciated the daily updates—not just about what the kids were working on, but also the character traits they were focusing on each day. It was clear they were invested in developing the kids both as athletes and as people. My kids absolutely loved going. With most camps, by the second day I’m usually negotiating or bribing them to stick with it—but not this one. They were genuinely excited to show up every day. The coach-to-kid ratio was excellent, which made a big difference. It felt like each athlete got the attention they needed to really learn the fundamentals of the game. I can't recommend this camp highly enough!

1. You and your coaches are there and set up early, ready for the crew of kids who come early specifically for the whiffle ball. As a mom and teacher who values organization and preparedness, this is key. Your coaches are not scrambling to set up their fields with a bunch of rambunctious kids messing around. Your coaches are ready to be present with them from the get go. This is my favorite thing about your camp. 2.  Kids and coaches on the same field the whole week.  This really hit home the week (a few summers back) when my son was literally in tears saying good bye to his coach. My kids love the bond/connection with the coaches. 3.  Low kid-to-coach ratio.  I was shocked that there were 4 coaches on his field every time I came to watch. I know there were parents (myself included) hoping to sneak "just one more kid" into camp the past 2 weeks. Seeing the low ratio and how much more attention the kids get because of it made me very happy that you stick to your numbers. 4.  I just want to let you know about one incident that I saw yesterday during the scrimmage. A boy on my son's team was playing right field and saying something mean about the batter (something along the lines of his swing being so slow). The batter was obviously not as talented as the rest of the group. I was SOOOO impressed when Coach discreetly walked over to the right fielder and had a quiet conversation with him about what he said. He didn't draw attention to it to the rest of the boys, but he did handle it and let the boy know it was not acceptable. I was impressed with how the coach knew how to handle that situation without shaming anyone.  Anyway, thanks for a great camp. That was my younger son's first camp of any kind and he LOVED it. I have known my older boy was obsessed with baseball and he has always loved camps. I wasn't as sure this one would love a whole week of it, but he definitely did. Thank you to you and your coaches.  See you at the fields!"

During this time where life, school and baseball have been shut down my son has become more withdrawn and I have observed heightened anxiety and a retreat to his room and video games. As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I am probably over aware of my children’s mental health and try to be as proactive as possible. Needless to say...as soon as I saw the Dan Keller camp email in my inbox, I registered immediately praying it would not be cancelled and would go on as planned.  Thanks to you and your team, it did despite all little league being shut down for a second time. My son left for camp that first day excited but still withdrawn and beat down from this quarantine. He came home much differently... my happy go lucky kid came back to me... screaming through the door about his hits, his teammates, and again re-citing all of his beloved baseball facts from the game he holds so dearly!  While in previous years I have always loved your camp and found immense value in it... this year it meant even more.  You and your team of coaches re-instilled something in my boy that I’m not even quite sure it is yet!  All I know is you gave him an opportunity to do what he loves - to get dirty, play catch, slug a ball, and hang with peers!  Thank you!  This is essential!  Our kids need this and I can’t thank you and your coaches enough for being our kiddos hero’s during this crazy time! As a mom, a psychologist, behavior analyst and your friend... I cannot thank you enough and am eternally grateful!  Please extend my sincerest gratitude to your entire team.

I want to say thank you for your camp! I’m so glad I heard about it this year and disappointed I didn’t know about it before. On the 1st day at drop off, I already was feeling comfortable at the smooth check in. I heard that you were the previous founder of Lifeletics, so I was already hoping camp was going to be like our 1st experience at Lifeletics summer camp many years ago. I left drop off feeling really confident. I appreciated all the daily updates and safety procedures set in place. And I noticed the amount of coaches you had on board and appreciated that many helping hands - very reassuring! One other positive thing I would like to note, is that the coaches/staff all had the same positive and mature attitude. I appreciated their respectfulness being around young kids. I appreciate the professionalism and fun experience your camp provides.

The boys had a blast at camp over the last two weeks. They even went out of their way to thank me for signing them up because they had so much fun. The coaching was top notch, the scrimmages were so much fun to watch and I loved how much you and all your coaches really spoke into and taught how each players character on and off the field was a big part of the game. I know that kind of coaching is one of the biggest reasons your camp is set apart from others. I’m so glad we found you. We will definitely be back next summer and we will see you at the clinics.

Thank you for putting together a truly phenomenal program!  It was a standout experience. Our ballplayer has been using these keywords throughout the day now and even shared 'focus' with his big sister as he was hyping her up for her Junior Guards Pier Swim.  So he is paying it forward!
